It is true, I worry about the hype. The only person more over-hyped than me is you.

This site is an outgrowth of conversations with many Marylanders about their opposition to new taxes. They often ask "What can I do to stop these tax increases?" This is your opportunity to directly register your feelings through the online petition. It is also a place to keep informed about these tax increases.

GOP Bloggers is a online grassroots community with the goal of keeping a Republican majority in Congress, and a Republican President in the White House.
The 2004 Election was considered by many to be the most important election of our lifetimes, and over 62 million Americans came out to successfully reelect President Bush. In the aftermath of victory, we still must look ahead, and remember that there is still a lot of work to be done to continue winning the war on terror, keeping the economy strong and growing, improving education, healthcare, reforming Social Security... The Republican Party has demonstrated the resolve to address these issues, and we need to show our support and get behind the party.
As the Democratic Party moves further and further to the left, their bitter partisanship has proven that they are more interested in regaining power than they are in winning the war on terror, keeping this country strong, and addressing and fixing the problems that still need to be fixed. They're more interested in blocking qualified judges from getting an up-or-down confirmation vote in the Senate than they are interested in fixing the problems of our legal system. They care more about the interests of France, Germany and China, than they do about our national security.
GOP Bloggers is a new blog community that offers visitors commentary and analysis by a group of writers with varying backgrounds, hailing from around the United States. Our plan is to get the GOP's message out and organize as many bloggers as we can to create the biggest internet grassroots community for a political party.
WHO IS GLENN REYNOLDS? I'm a law professor at the University of Tennessee. I write various law review articles, opeds, and other stuff. I'm a Contributing Editor at Popular Mechanics. My most recent book is An Army of Davids : How Markets and Technology Empower Ordinary People to Beat Big Media, Big Government, and Other Goliaths. My next most recent book is The Appearance of Impropriety: How the Ethics Wars Have Undermined American Government, Business and Society, (The Free Press, 1997) coauthored with Peter W. Morgan. For something completely different, see Environmental Regulation of Nanotechnology: Some Preliminary Observations, from the April, 2001 Environmental Law Reporter. Some of my other law review writings can be found in PDF form here.
I'm interested in everything, but my chief interest is in the intersection between advanced technologies and individual liberty. The vast majority of my writing touches on this in one way or another.
I'm also very interested in music. I produce, write for, or perform with a number of bands (but not "Pachyderm Party" -- that's a different Glenn Reynolds), including Mobius Dick, The Nebraska Guitar Militia, and the Defenders of the Faith. I own a small record company (it's not organized as a nonprofit, but it might as well be) with my brother and another guy, called WonderDog Records. Some of my favorite acts are Cecilia Noel and the Wild Clams, BT, The Supreme Beings of Leisure, and, of course, Creedence Clearwater Revival.
There's lots more about me, in the unlikely event you're that interested, in this interview from The Yale Law Report. Also, here's a profile from The New York Times. And if you're a journalist, you may want to look at this list of FAQs for journalists.
