Bump:Post from January 1st

I posted this way back in January and had a prediction bad of things to come in 2008 as far as your own budget.

In 2008 I would suggest you pre plan for any financial set backs coming your way in the future. Its possible you wont need to but to be safe I would suggest doing so. Look at your personal budget, see where you can adjust to save 10 bucks here, 10 bucks there. If you have a mortgage, ask your mortgage holder about bi-monthly payments. This was you shave at least 8 years off a 30 year mortgage. Add a few bucks each payment and you could have your house paid for in less then 15 years. You don't pay more you actually save 1000's of dollars over that span. Call your insurance outfits and ask for the best plan while saving 10 bucks on each car. 10 bucks here and there adds up. Look how you can save on gas mileage per week to once again, save 10 bucks here and there. See if you can combine your phone,Internet and Cable TV into 1 bill. You may save $150 a month or so in doing so. Another tip is to replace your light bulbs in your house when they blow out with energy saving lights. Maybe 10 bucks a month saved but again, 10 bucks here and there add up in your personal budget. Coupon shop to see if you can shave 10 bucks off of your shopping trip each week.

Take some of these tips and think about them over the next week. 2008 maybe tighter in your budget but in the long haul you may add money to your savings account to prepare you for a secure finacial future.- Stephen-Clark Reigle
