County Executive Leopold to serve on Commitee at GOP Convention

Anne Arundel County's very own Executive will serve on the Permanent Organization Committee at the Grand Old Party's National Presidential Convention later this year. John R. Leopold will gladly accept the invitation and look to add what information is needed for the Committee. Leopold is very much fair and balanced with all of his thoughts. His dedication to Maryland's District 31, Anne Arundel County and the residents of Maryland shows in his everyday decisions. Time and time again against the odds Leopold is selected by voters to be the right person for the job and he delivers. Leopold will now have served on all 4 committees at the convention. John R. Leopold also served as a delegate to the convention when he was an elected official in the state of Hawaii. Many residents have approached me about how Leopold is doing a fine job as County Executive of Anne Arundel County and hope that he continues further into seeking public office. Leopold's name being recognized only signals that Anne Arundel County Republicans are getting noticed during a down time for the party. Hard work is being done by many County Republicans and we can only hope the state then the nation follows suit in the coming years and do not sit on their hands.-Steve

I too am a supporter of John

I too am a supporter of John Leopold, I find his policies to be in favor of the citizens of AA County - which is after all his job and why we voted him into office. I am completely satisfied with his performance so far. Although I would prefer it if the other council members would support him more. He has always responded to me quickly and positively. In fact after my last letter to him I could not believe it when the phone rang early the next day (No 'snail mail' here! Even the Post Office was fast.) and it was John calling me personally, I've never had service like that from any other First Executive. (Comment aside here - I have written to George Bush on four separate occasions and not even got an ackknowledgement of my letters. I also wrote to George Brown - the Prime Minister of Great Britain and received a reply a few days later!) Anyway, "Way to go John" I say, Good Job.

Pardon me while I barf. The

Pardon me while I barf. The selective outrage by republicans when it comes to defending Leopold is nauseating. If he were a democrat, you all would be organizing marches on Annapolis. He raises taxes/fees. He supports nanny state legislation. His permit office epitomizes big government. He endorses Al Gore's extremist environmental agenda. Still, you all love him. I guess politics does indeed make for strange bed fellows.

Bud the Blogger

Bud, we welcome all comments

Bud, we welcome all comments as this is a democracy and any criticism is warranted. Feel free to share any opinion. I support John Leopold for many reasons and most of all because he reached out to me in time of need. Not everyone is born healthy and is treated equal but John reached out to me when I was at the lowest point in my life and I am very thankful for that. Some folks tried to take advantage of my situation with my health but not John. I will not bore you on details. The man would not give up until my problem rest.My family is very thankful for that. With his poltical view, sure we will disagree with him some times but I can say most of the time I agree with his choices. Myself I am one for smaller government control and less spending.
